2020 has definitely been a year of change.
As we are having to spend more time in our homes, we are also thinking about the functionality of them, and how spending so many hours inside them is making us feel.
Our homes have become a place of work, schooling, exercise, and relaxation.
This has all massively impacted the way that we live in our homes, with most of us making do with the space that we already have within them. This has also led to the need for home improvements in order to cater for defined spaces such as home offices or places to have a private zoom call. As well as this, we are wanting more aesthetically pleasing homes and places that we can really relax in.
With the stamp duty suspension in 2020 and now the 5% mortgage deposit for first time buyers, there has also been a huge surge in house moves and renovations, with more to come before the end of May 2021.
All of theses factors have helped influence interior design trends in 2020 that will continue in to 2021 and for the foreseeable future.
